NU Dance @ GVMCC

The NUDance@GVMCC Summer Intensive offers dancers the opportunity to train with experienced professional faculty in a focused, anatomy-informed program designed to support meaningful technical and artistic growth. Over two immersive weeks, students receive consistent daily training in ballet, conditioning, pointe and pre-pointe, contemporary, character, jazz, repertoire, and more within a supportive and highly attentive environment.
With small class sizes and close faculty mentorship, dancers benefit from individualized attention often difficult to access in larger programs, while still receiving training from educators and artists connected to major professional and pre-professional ballet institutions. Flexible scheduling options allow dancers and families to choose the training path that best supports their summer goals, including one-week, two-week, full-day, and half-day options. The program is designed to provide exceptional depth, rigor, flexibility, and value for dancers seeking serious summer training in a healthy and inspiring environment.
Summer Intensive Schedule
The schedule will start each day with a Conditioning class taught by Roxanna Cohen, a licensed physical therapist specializing in injury prevention and lead faculty for NUDance@GVMCC.
The daily schedule has been thoughtfully structured to support both rigorous training and long-term dancer wellness. Intensive classes are balanced with strategically placed breaks, recovery periods, conditioning, and shifts in movement focus throughout the day, allowing dancers to sustain concentration, physical clarity, and technical quality while reducing unnecessary fatigue and overload. All classes are taught by experienced Faculty and Associate Teaching Artists.
