Join us this December for Nevada Union Dance Community’s inaugural production of The Nutcracker!
Under the artistic direction of former San Francisco Ballet Soloist Tsal’gyur Starbuck, with original choreography by Starbuck and fellow choreographers Lauren Duchene, Elizabeth Castañeda, and Karen Attix, this reimagining of the beloved holiday classic celebrates the beauty of classical ballet alongside imaginative choreography drawing from a rich variety of dance traditions.
- Featuring professional guest artists Sorcha Tate and Nicholas Edwards, appearing courtesy of New Ballet, as our Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier
- Authentic Classical Spanish dance choreographed by Elizabeth Castañeda.
- A distinctive fusion of modern dance and ballet choreographed by former Merce Cunningham Dance Company member Karen Attix.
- A dramatic Battle Scene featuring NUHS Advanced Dance students, choreographed by Tsal’gyur Starbuck.
- An enchanting cast of young mice and sheep, choreographed by Youth Division Director Lauren Duchene.
- Live Christmas carols and an unexpected Fosse-inspired musical theater number choreographed by Elizabeth Castañeda!
